Organic Modular Design
The WarFront Dirt Roads were designed from the ground up to create natural, organic road networks. Traditional grid-based systems can often appear rigid and artificial, but real dirt tracks rarely follow straight lines or perfect angles. Instead, they evolve over time, shaped by repeated use from vehicles and foot traffic moving across the landscape.
To capture this, the Dirt Roads feature sweeping curves that allow layouts to flow naturally across the battlefield. The modular design ensures each section connects seamlessly, making it easy to build complex road networks that look authentic from any angle.

Module Compatibility
The WarFront Dirt Roads have been designed to work alongside other components in the WarFront terrain system. The shapes of each section allow pieces such as bocage hedgerows and fences to be positioned naturally along the edges of the roads.
This makes it easier to combine terrain elements without awkward gaps or forced alignment, helping you build more cohesive and believable landscapes.
Flexible Road Networks
Designing the Dirt Roads with natural, organic shapes instead of a rigid grid introduced a new challenge – complex road layouts wouldn’t always connect together. While curved sections create more realistic terrain, they donโt always align perfectly when building branching or intersecting road networks.
To solve this, articulated Dirt Road sections were developed. These flexible pieces can be gently adjusted and twisted, allowing them to bridge gaps and connect different road segments seamlessly. This makes it easy to create complex, free-flowing road networks while maintaining a natural and believable appearance across the battlefield.

Choose Your Finish
The WarFront Dirt Roads are available in two versions to suit different hobby styles. Fully textured sections feature mud and rock detail modelled directly into the surface, simulating the compression and wear caused by vehicle traffic. These are ideal for hobbyists who want to print, paint, and get their terrain onto the battlefield quickly.
For those looking to achieve a more customised or higher-end finish, a plain version is also available. These sections provide a clean base that allows you to apply your own texture, mud effects, and ground cover, giving you full control over the final look of your roads.
