From Country Lanes to Village Streets
The Cobbled Road range marks WarFront’s first steps beyond the open countryside and into the villages, towns and settlements where fierce battles were fought. Designed to complement the existing Dirt Roads, these models allow you to create more permanent routes, village streets and established locations where epic battles can unfold.
The range includes a versatile 6-inch straight road section, a selection of sweeping curves and junction pieces, along with specialised connectors that seamlessly combine Cobbled Roads with Dirt Roads.
Designed to Connect Seamlessly
Every Cobbled Road section has been carefully designed to connect seamlessly with every other piece in the range. The cobbled surface pattern uses a symmetrical design, ensuring the texture aligns perfectly no matter which direction each section is placed.
This allows you to create complex road networks, combining straight sections, curves and junctions to build everything from simple village lanes to sprawling routes across your battlefield.
Where Roads Become Paths
Battlefields rarely follow perfect plans. Established roads gradually give way to rough tracks as vehicles and troops move beyond the main routes. The Cobbled Road range includes three specially designed transition pieces that connect seamlessly with the Dirt Road range, each featuring a different exit angle to help create natural-looking road networks.
These transitions are designed to suggest the gradual wear of traffic leaving the main road, with dirt tracks forming over time as vehicles carve their own paths across the landscape.
As with the Dirt Road range, selected Cobbled Road pieces are also available in a plain finish. These versions remove the built-in mud and rock textures, giving hobbyists the freedom to apply their own basing materials and customise their terrain to perfectly match their battlefield.
Module Compatibility
Each model in the Cobbled Road range has been designed to integrate seamlessly with the wider WarFront terrain system. The outer and inner edges of each piece have been carefully sized so that they can be perfectly lined with the Bocage and Fence pieces in the same way as the Dirt Roads despite them being significantly wider than the Dirt Roads.
This approach gives you the freedom to create organic battlefield layouts without the limitations of a fixed grid, while still maintaining the precision needed for every piece to work together seamlessly.
